30. ANNOUNCEMENTS/COMMENTS
Minutes: Board member Shirley Brown - Last week a first grader at Emma E. Booker was struck while riding his bicycle and was killed. There was discussion about replacing two of the three playgrounds that have been removed this year and discussion about putting up a plaque on the playground in honor of the student. The School Board has come up with the funds to replace two of the playgrounds, but is still looking for the funds for the third playground. Mrs. Brown asked Dorothy Stuart with the Education Foundation to please accept her check in the amount of $1000.00, to start a fund at the Education Foundation and work for the funds to get the rest of the playground completed.
